I always wondered, why is it a penalty when a defender hits a ball carrier, helmet to helmet, yet when the ball carrier lowers his head and uses his helmet as a weapon, it isn't.
Well, looks like that is changing this year in the NFL.
Don't want to link the article, since it's BR, but apparently this new personal foul is causing quite a bit of confusion among the players and coaches.
Bottom line is, it looks like, to me, the end of the big, punishing RB in the NFL.
Honestly, it seems fair. A RB can do as much damage as a defender.
