I don't try to pay too much attention to analysts' preseason rankings but Mike McMahon's are usually really fair. He's also one of the best in college hockey. He says MSU is a preseason top-10 team and Augustine could really be the difference for MSU's defense.
Personally, anything outside of the tournament this year is likely going to be disappointing. Just to give you an idea of where the expectations are.
