Well, someone has to write a recap when the Spartans get blown out and today that falls to me:

I have watched Ohio State blow the doors off Michigan State many times in my life. For whatever reason, this one was not nearly as frustrating for me. Maybe happiness really is the difference between reality and expectation. That said, I actually think MSU played pretty hard on defense, and I liked some of the things that MSU did in the run game. I also feel like the one formation with the receivers split out super wide in a stack on both sidelines was new wrinkle, but our man @glassman12 can probably educate me on that.

MSU is 3-7 with two games remaining. Believe it or not, if MSU can win the last two games, they will have a reasonable shot to get a bowl bid. (I will update those calculations sometime tomorrow.) I will say this: Penn State has a great defense, but that offense is PEDESTRIAN. If MSU can be stout on defense and maybe force some turnovers, I think that MSU would have a chance.
