Just kidding. Of course they aren't. Case in point:



Michigan running back Donovan Edwards says that he will be "up there with Walter Payton and Barry Sanders."

Are you OK Donovan? I mean, he is a good back, but he might not even be the best back in his own locker room. It is nice to be confident, but to compare yourself (or for others to compare you) to a couple of top 5 all-time NFL backs... I mean, that's just so far beyond rational thought that it is hard to wrap my head around.

In all honesty, if this is the kind of talk that is happening inside the Michigan locker room, I would be VERY worried if I were a Michigan fan. The Wolverines have struggled for decades with the "show up and be awesome" mindset. If they bring that into the season... and they get a few bad bounces here or there... it could be a very disappointing season no matter how much "talent" they have on that roster.
