FOOTBALL MSU's Nick Marsh on outing vs. Maryland: 'The chemistry was just there'

Michigan State quarterback Aidan Chiles, wide receiver Nick Marsh and linebackers Jordan Turner and Cal Haladay gave their thoughts following the win over Maryland.

“We’re building something special here,” Chiles said. “To all the people who didn’t believe in us, stay like that. Keep it that way.”

Chiles and Marsh had a strong connection on Saturday:

“I don’t know how to explain it, the chemistry was just there," Marsh said about his connection with Chiles. "We practiced for moments like that, and when it came, we were just able to execute."

Threw 4 picks and Auburn lost to lowly Cal.

I don't wish ill on him because, in part, it was Tucker who probably drove him off. However, he has not done much at Auburn. I'm sure many around here have also noticed how well Jayden Reed is doing with the Packers...and he's in his 2nd year in the league.

One game does not change everything, but Coach Smith and his staff appear to be on the right track. Hopefully, the transfer portal exits will diminish substantially and recruits will look to come and stay at MSU. Coach Smith is employing the "Build Back Better" approach. Sorry, I couldn't help it.

FOOTBALL Michigan State receives votes in this week's Coaches Poll

The Spartans earned two votes in this week's coaches poll following the gritty fourth quarter comeback win at Maryland. Notably, Boston College who MSU heads on the road to face in Week Four got 36 votes but will face No. 7 Missou on the road this Saturday first.
