Can MSU land 3 of the players below while putting final touches on 2016?

WR Donnie Corley of Martin Luther King High School in Detroit, Michigan

Michigan State has long been viewed as one of the favorites for Corley. The other team consistently mentioned is the Tennessee Volunteers. Corley has talked about going to visit some of the SEC schools that have offered such as Georgia and LSU, but nothing has been set in stone.

OL Matt Farniok of Washington High School in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Michigan State is being very selective when it comes to potentially taking another offensive line recruit. However, Farniok is one of only a few players the staff would gladly accept a commitment from at this point. Farniok is expected to visit East Lansing later this summer.

CB Lavert Hill of Martin Luther King High School in Detroit, Michigan

Hill is currently committed to Penn State University, but he has visited Michigan State multiple times the past few months. At the time Hill committed to Penn State he did not have a Michigan State scholarship offer, which he does now. Hill is very good friends with Donnie Corley and if Corley becomes a Spartan…hmmm?

DE Xavier Kelly of Wichita East High School in Wichita, Kansas

The 6-foot-4, 241-pound Kelly is a relatively new name to the Spartans radar, but Michigan State is definitely in the mix for his services. He recently visited Michigan State after attending the Sound Mind Sound Body Camp and does have some family ties to the state of Michigan. Notre Dame could be the biggest competition.

TE Albert Okwuegbunam of Scared Heat Griffin High School in Springfield, Illinois

Okwuegbunam is the most recent player to receive a Spartan scholarship offer as he picked one up on Thursday June 18th following an unofficial visit. Michigan State is looking for a pass receiving tight end for the class to pair with current commitment Noah Davis who is more of a traditional tight end prospect.

OL Cole Van Lanen of Bay Port High School in Green Bay, Wisconsin

Van Lanen is in that group of tackles that if he wanted to commit to Michigan State, the Spartans would definitely take him. Many inside the state of Wisconsin believe Van Lanen is the best prospect in the Dairy State. After several years of success the Spartans did not sign a player from Wisconsin in 2015. The staff would like that to not be the case in 2016.
