From the sound of it on this board I am not the only one who actually lived that time at MSU. I graduated in 67 so had the Kennedy assassination delay game with Illinois in 63, the somewhat down but exciting year in 64, and then the glory times of 65 and 66. Two random memories. (1) Friend of mine obtained game tickets fo the PSU game in 65 at Beaver Stadium. Neither had a car so we trained and hitchhiked our way to and from State College. Not much sleep friday or saturday night, but we obtained a ride from parents of a PSU student from outside State College to literally our front doors in EL. (2) As a resident of EL I worked on the garbage truck in the summers. Something my mom was so happy to see me doing as she thought this would inspire my academic achievement. However, you collect and see random stuff. I still have an unopened Salt Lake city newspaper in the wrapper addressed to governor Romney. The governors house was just a random place in EL at the time. But I digress. While cleaning up the area around a dumpster by one of the apartment units, I picked up a piece of paper that was a letter from Duffy Daughtery to Pat Gallinah (sp) which was basically a letter describing expectations during the summer and a welcome back for fall camp. Still have that. My mom did not encourage my collecting stuff from the garbage routes. My dog loved me at the end of each day.
