At the end of the camp, Dantonio spoke to the camp participants, who each took a knee near midfield. I couldn't hear all of what Dantonio was saying, but at some point he mentioned the presence of Dion Sims, who received applause. And "Pro Bowl great Andre Rison," who received some applause.
Rison, from about 20 yards away, waved and yelled, "Go green! Go white!"
Amazingly, neither Andre nor Dantonio knew at that moment how much closer they were about to get, for the years ahead. Hunter had already decided to commit. He was just waiting for all the stuff to settle down and then meet with his "pops," clear it with him, and then inform Dantonio.
Honestly, when I heard Andre yell "Go green! Go white!", I thought to myself, "Well, I'd say it's pretty clear that Andre's loyalty still resides with Michigan State. That'll probably make it a little harder for Saban to cut in on Hunter."

As a side note, when I spoke with Andre about a half hour later, after everything went down, Andre said he always wanted Hunter to go to Michigan State, and he was pleased that Hunter was really falling in love with MSU. However, Andre said, "Hunter scared me to death the other day when he said some s--- about Alabama."
That's about when Mike Sargent bounded through the doors, and that hug fest went on for a few minutes.
Afterward, I asked Andre about the Alabama thing, and he said Hunter was saying he was kind of liking Alabama, and that was kind of all to it at that time.
Some of you may remember that the night of RCS Cleveland, I reported here that Hunter Rison was good ... maybe too good. As in he was so good that Alabama was going to be interested, even though Alabama might not know it yet.
Well, Alabama found out, and was trying to cut in, but things are just too smooth at MSU right now.
