I've noticed that there have been some hotly debated issues on here lately, so in the spirit of consolidation and a bit of levity, I figured I'd start this (yes I acknowledge it is also going to bring some redundancy, but whatever - it's one thread).
To kick it off:
(1) Bob (aka CousinofSparty for the uninitiated) and his holier than thou, "I'm a smarter fan because I care so much about UM" is such obvious and obnoxious trolling that he's not even entertaining anymore because of his stupidity. Completely over him and think that both boards would be so much better without him. But this is his life - he's that much a sorry soul, so the pragmatic solution is to just stop responding to him. My new pledge.
(2) Vim vs. the "hater posse" - used to be entertaining but now it's just a distraction any time it happens now and ruins threads. I generally agree with Vim's points, but not his tactics, and we have discussed that and it's just an agreement to disagree. But I am to the point now where I wish he and his enemies would just take it to another website. It's tired.
(3) The all-topics board debacle is one I don't see changing because of the lack of moderating on this website. But on the other hand, I wish it would remain (maybe at least make it a subscriber only board) as the alternative of a better result based on the number of absurd political and religious posts on here the last month.
On the positive side, little to no recruiting angst thus far and a few of the most notorious jackasses on this site seem to have gone on hiatus. Bottom line is that things aren't bad but still room for improvement around here!
