winner in 37 years! Won it leading wire to wire. Kinda thought that his #5 looked like the Spartan Block S. I was impressed with him winning the first two races on totally different tracks. The Preakness was a horrible track and the time wasn't a good one, but the horse wasn't bothered. And we all know a lot of horses that run in the Belmont don't run all three of the Triple Crown races which better positions them to be the spoiler. Given all that, and with some of the horses who almost won and those who did win, how do you think American Pharoh compares?

BTW, 37 years ago in 1978 I was still at State and Jud was recruiting Earvin Johnson, Jay Vincent and Greg Kelser.
