This probably won't generate a ton of discussion, but I felt like sharing as a way to procrastinate some work. I was rewatching some of the game on the "tight cut" (THANKS again @samworkmartin), and I noticed a play that I haven't seen much talk about.
It was 3rd and a long 10 after Montae's great INT from the ORE 31. Cook got the ball to Kings in the flat-ish on the left and he made a GREAT move and effort to get it a little less than a yard short of the first down (MSU made the 4th and 1 on the first play of the 2nd Q). If he got tackled by the first guy it would have been 4th and about 7 from the 26 or so, which would have been a tough decision for Coach D with a kicker who just missed a short FG. Not sure what he would have done or what would have happened, but scoring on that drive was HUGE to go up 14-7 (a lead we took into halftime) and increase confidence.
Kings has been inconsistent for sure, but I don't think anyone outside of MAYBE Shelton would have been able to turn that play into what it ended up being.
Any comments on that play or any other plays that haven't been talked about as much but were pretty big?
