Throughout our history with them they have tried to be a stumbling block or worse. I won't bore you with that litany but from trying to block admission to the Big 10 after UC left till now there is a laundry list that most fans don't even know about. They block expansion efforts, grants, and you name it. It kills certain UM people that we are the school for particle physics. It kills them that we have he top ranked MLM program in business. The list goes on and the history is sordid on and off the field.
More recently, on the field, they have tried to eliminate MSU from any B10 relevance in the 70's. Bo and Woody got them on a ridiculously stringent probation for mostly chicken shit things. Now, they bring law enforcement into an incident that their players provoked. It is a total smear effort and the latest significant thing they have tried to do. Forget this season. This is just a continuation of events. It is was much Michigan tradition as arrogance is in general.
Their players are provocateurs and not just classless. Classless is a step up. We should have some consequence but not all this legal BS. This is a major event that could impact all sports. If this precedent had been established a few years ago they would have players up on charges.
Want to stop them. Don't even play them. Who cares. We are 10 out of 15 and against them and the brilliant Harbaugh is .500. Pick it up again when cooler heads might prevail...They will say this is cowardice like when they were so afflicted with Covid they couldn't finish their crappy season. Again, who cares.
As long as Harbaugh is coach this is a powder keg that could end up even worse. We have beaten their ass on the field over the better part of the 21st century. What they are doing has no place in sports. They are going to unwittingly change the game and this will blow up in their face. They could well lose the national PR battle and all their imagined glory.
I know this isn't a popular opinion but I'm so sick of being beholden to the Detroit media and A holes like Harbaugh and their athletic director. The culture in the entire country is so divided and toxic and this is a tiny microcosm that seems insignificant. Problem is that it may not be when something worse happens at one of these games. I am afraid it is about to.
