If you remember, a few days ago I had a fun conversation with two older um grads there. TODAY I met one of Andrew Luck's uncles (mother's side).
Nothing earth shattering, but he did mention that on Andrew's official visit to Stanford, he met with Bill Walsh and John Elway. Apparently, they were quite persuasive and were the main reason Luck signed on with Stanford. For those who don't know, Walsh was the head coach at Stanford twice. His win totals were 3, 4, 10, 9 and 8.
I pressed the uncle a bit on how Luck liked Harbaugh, and all he would say is he liked him. Very little enthusiasm in his response, though.
