Today I am going to do something a little different. I had a chance to join the media pool from this past Sunday's win over Wisconsin. Towards the end of the presser, I asked a question about how Izzo felt about the potential to tie the all-time record for Big Ten titles this year. My motivation was actually to put the idea out there a bit, because while I have been aware of this possibility for several weeks, I have not heard a single other person mention it. I didn't think that it was on the radar at all.

Based on both Izzo and Jase's comments after the game, I believe that my suspicion was correct. I don't think that Izzo even knew about it.

He is 100% focused on the season right now, and his answer was basically, "I don't care about that right now. I want this team to get better so that we can make a long run in March." Fair enough, coach. But at the same time, I think that I made him think about it a little. For that, I believe that I accomplished my mission.

At the end of this article, I give an update on MSU's odds for the last two games and I discussed a few interesting Big Ten Tournament scenarios. The odds and data tracker is also now updated after a brief hiatus. At this time of year, things are clearer, and there is less need for the tracker. I will now start to pivot my focus towards the postseason as well.
