The fact that Colquhoun and Edmondson both continue to be mentioned in competition at corner is a good thing from my perspective simply because both guys have had some issues with accountability in the past. I realize, that there aren't a lot of bodies at corner to begin with, but Dantonio isn't the kind of guy to say positive things about dudes who are knuckleheads. Both guys have the athletic ability to get the job done.
Edmondson is a guy that really intrigues me. I really liked him coming out of high school, and the fact that he was a priority recruit for both Michigan State and Nebraska says a lot given the success that both programs have had with defensive backs (we'll see if that continues at Nebraska with a new staff).
When Edmondson recovered the on-side kick for Michigan State in the Cotton Bowl, I couldn't help but wonder if that play could help him turn the corner in his development. I'm not saying it has, but so far so good. Edmondson is certainly a guy to watch in the spring game.
Don't discount, however, the possibility of a true freshman getting on the field at corner. We have seen that a lot over the years, Chris L Rucker, Johnny Adams, Trenton Robinson (later switched to safety), Darqueze Dennard, Darian Hicks.
