Coaches spend a lot of time baby sitting their committed players because they are aware that other schools will continue to chase their commitments. All schools do it including us.
A lot of time and money is spent by schools keeping an eye on their committed players.
This is what I think would make this crazy situation easier to handle:
1. Do not allow HS players to committ till 60 days before National Signing day. They are after all free agents, and should be allowed plenty of time for visits an think about what they will do.
or
2. Allow them to committ any time they want to, but once they do, they will have a 60 day period to sign a LOI.
60 days should give them plenty of time to analyze their decision.
