i don't post often - and apologies if this has already been brought up - but I recall reading a note from comp basically calling this while Rison/Bama situation in advance. I swear this was like 6 months ago (def before the MSU offer). I could be losing it, but assuming my mind isn't playing tricks -- props to him on the foresight.
