Cook understands that defenses can't shut down high-powered offenses. That's just the way it is. Cook also understands that he has to do a much better job than he did last year of making plays to keep drives going. He struggled in the second half. That can't happen again.

You've got to hold on to the ball, but while you do that, you've got to be scoring points. It is crucial to get out to a hot start, and scoring points because Oregon likes to score points too. This game is going to come down to our offense. It's going to be us trying to score points. Our defense is going to come to play, and they're going to play great. But I think a lot of it is going to ride on us as an offense and how many points we can put up against Oregon."
