After listening to the V-cast and reading some of the film room posts after Oregon, I have some questions.
1) Now that we are past Oregon and have some home tilts coming up, is this the time we see more 2nd and 3rd stringers get on the field. I think these could be important weeks on O for guys like Madaris, Terry/TOC, Finley, Holmes, Davis, Lyles, Chumura, Beedle/Padla. I hope the score allows for this time happen.
2) If Copeland is a precautionary scratch this weekend, do we see a Fr DB activated? At this point, I'm not a coach but adding another guy to the fray might not be a bad idea if he can hack it. It would be nice if we can get a young guy ready so we can shift Cox back to S next year to team with Nicholson.
3) Who is the 3rd Wr? In the offense to date, it has been AB and Price. We need a 3rd and 4th guy to step up. Kings has looked good just need to get him more looks. We really need Troup to play better. He has not looked great this year.
4) In game 1, I liked what I saw from Holmes. London and Scott are playing at a high level. I just hope we find a way to keep him involved (its a long season and you can never have too many backs- see BAMA).
5) DT- will we see LT and Malik starting at DT now? I don't know the answer to that. Heath is a man now. His development from last year to now has been jaw dropping. I think the best 4 DL on the team are Malik, Heath, LT and Calhoun, but when you throw Cooper out there at DE he gives you a bit different look. I think we continue to see a big rotation of guys. If Knox is dinged up from Oregon, does this mean Evans is the 4th DT now? Did Evan Jones get snaps vs Oregon- will he be able to carve out a niche?
6) What is the story on Shane Jones? He played vs Oregon, but now I think Byron Bullough is the backup Mike- has he been passed up? Is Thompson going to RS or is he playing ST?
