Does MSU have to be undefeated to make the playoff?

In other words, do they have to beat Ohio St on Nov 21?

Please do not lecture us not to look ahead. We aren't the team and we don't play.

I believe that the Committee will not take two teams from the same Conference. Therefore, if Ohio St is otherwise undefeated, I believe MSU must beat them on Nov 21 and win all their other games. Not fair, but, that is the situation, I believe.
