I am back with Part Five of my annual preseason preview series. This time, I go over what the math says about the SEC, Big 12, ACC, and Pac-12 races.
In general, the math will tell you that the teams ranked the highest in the preseason are the most likely teams to win their conference and/or division. When the only data that you have is the preseason data... this is what you get. But, I tried to dig a little deeper to figure out which teams might be potential dark horse candidates in each league. But, at the end of the day, some teams are going to be a bit (or a lot) better than we think now and other teams are going to be worse. It is virtually impossible to pick which teams will over or underachieve, but that will likely make a bigger impact on the final results.
