After a brief break, it is time to get back to my annual preseason analysis series. This time, I take a closer look at the Big Ten race:
Right now, everyone thinks that the East will come down to Ohio State, Michigan, and maybe Penn State while the West will come down to Wisconsin or Iowa. The math basically supports that.
In the East, there are some interesting subtleties. Based on the schedule, Michigan seems to be at a slight disadvantage if they wind up in a tiebreaker situation. In the West, Wisconsin and Iowa's soft schedule is a major advantage.
