16. Michigan State Spartans
The Michigan State staff has been able to turn recent success on the field into success on the recruiting trail. Each year under Mark Dantonio, the coaches have been able to reel in more highly sought-after prospects, and that continued in 2016. The coaches already have two ESPN 300 commitments in 2017, with offensive lineman Kevin Jarvis and receiverHunter Rison, but there are quite a few big-name in-state prospects the Spartans want to add. Michigan State is in the mix for Donovan Peoples-Jones, Ambry Thomas, Jaylen Kelly-Powell and K.J. Hamler, and landing some of these top in-state prospects would go a long way with this class. -- VanHaaren
Warning, the cover is literally just 3 big a$$ pictures of harbaugh. Some good recruiting content though.
Other notables:
3. Michigan Wolverines
Michigan already has some big names committed in the 2017 class, including No. 1 pocket-passing quarterback Dylan McCaffrey. But with all the noise about satellite camps and recruiting in SEC territory, the storyline to watch is if the Wolverines can capitalize and continue to land elite recruits in the South. In the 2016 class, the staff was able to snag Devin Bush Jr.,Eddie McDoom and Nick Eubanks from Florida. If Jim Harbaugh and his staff can continue the momentum in that region and land a few more ESPN 300 prospects from Florida, Alabama or Georgia, their recruiting momentum could skyrocket. -- Tom VanHaaren
10. Ohio State Buckeyes
The biggest storyline for the Buckeyes is what will happen at quarterback. The staff has four-star Danny Clark committed, but the team has also brought ESPN 300 quarterbacks Kellen Mond and Tate Martell in on visits. Clark has said that he is still committed, and if another quarterback decides to jump on board, he will have to assess the situation. The Buckeyes have good depth at quarterback, but adding Mond or Martell would give them another playmaker. -- VanHaaren
23. Iowa Hawkeyes
The Hawkeyes find themselves in an unusual position, with the No. 15-ranked recruiting class in May. The staff has landed ESPN 300 commitments from defensive end A.J. Epenesa and running back Eno Benjamin, which has helped boost that ranking. It will be interesting to see if Iowa can capitalize on the early recruiting momentum and use the successful season in 2015 to continue landing bigger names in the 2017 class. -- VanHaaren
