The wife and I flew home from Fort Meyers yesterday afternoon and there was a lot of people representing the school they root for. I would say for most part the flight was 50/50, which was nice to see. I will admit that I was a bit surprised that all the Wolvie fans were wearing their gear as they typically turtle when their team gets beat down. Anyway we're in line to board and we had a UofM fan in front of us as well as behind us (both decked out in gear) and of course I'm wearing my MSU face mask. The gentlemen behind us out of the no where says "hey congratulations on the win, you guys really fought back and got it done for the Big 10". I thanked him and then said "tough loss for you guys, Georgia really came to play". His response was "the team didn't even show up" and then went on to break down the game and was very realistic about their lack of game plan and adjustments. I was impressed with his honesty. He also added that he was happy to see MSU represent the big 10 as he roots for all Big teams in the bowls, including OSU. Anyways this caught the attention of the guy in front of us, keep in mind this guy was decked out in blue and urine and was the guy who cut in front of about 75 people when boarding started for zone 1. Yeah, he's that guy. All of a sudden he says, I never root for MSU and certainly don't root for OSU!" After hearing this I turn to him and he looked me squarely in the eye and said, "no matter what happens, no matter how bad MSU plays you guys just find a way to win, it's so frustrating". Now keep in mind that my wife is now getting nervous and is giving me the look in an effort to control my response. My response was simple " Well thanks but if that were true we would have come back against Purdue and thus UofM wouldn't have had the chance to embarrass themselves on Friday. Needless to say that conversation was over. By the way the guy behind us laughed his ass off.
