The main conversation on 97.1 the Detroit sports station this morning was
"Im Jeff Reiger a walmart wolverine, I have a friend who went to Western, but is rooting for MSU tonight. Is is ok to go to one school and root against your alma mater? Don't count Doug Karsch because even though he went to MSU he grew up in Ann Arbor, so your can't really count him"
I shit you not, they spent between 7 and 8 asking if it's ok to be what is essentially their fan base, a Wal mart fan. And they made sure to put a qualifier in for their on air mid morning host. Tells you all you need to know about Detroit "sports" radio.
One texter from Flint called them out for purposely not talking about the um loss, and trying to change the topic, of course he was dismissed and laughed off.
