at least get basic facts correct. More than one person on here wrote off MSU's struggles in the second have by saying MSU was playing "third stringers" or, less dramatically, "second and third stringers." I just finished re-watching the game, and these claims are bogus. The same playing rotation we should see against Oregon was what we saw the entire second half at Western -- on offense and defense.
Craig Evans got in for a few series and I saw Evan Jones on the field for one play. Other than that, at every position was either the first string or a player who is listed as almost interchangeable on the depth chart.
Those were our best players who struggled with Western in the second half -- on offense or defense. Okay, maybe the guys lost focus. But it had nothing to do with playing backups, so don't try to sugarcoat it that way.
I can't say re-watching the game made me more optimistic about the Oregon game, but I think we find a way to win.
