Format question: color codes?

I'm wondering if anyone has a key or information about the color coding in the new format. Some threads are white, some are green, some are grey, some have a blue dot next to them. I have some guesses about the meaning behind some of the coding, but am not quite sure about it all.

Anyone have answers for this?
