I was covering tonight's women's soccer match at DeMartin (MSU won 1-0, story coming later) and after the game I noticed MSU head coach Jeff Hosler chatting with a Cincinnati player. I snapped a pic.
Afterwards, I asked the Cincinnati coach if I could ask #22 what the conversation with Hosler was like and she said (paraphrased) "I'd prefer you don't. I like Jeff but him coaching my player is weird."
I relayed that to Hosler and he said (paraphrased) "haha fair enough but I was only giving her advice to get her to the pros." And as he walked away he said, "she won't make the pros on that team."
Jeff Hosler has an edge about him and is building a championship program. He lost a lot of players last year and reloaded during the offseason. Alan Haller likes him a lot and sees a bright future for the reigning Big Ten champs.
