where Hicks was defender, it was not Hicks fault the guy was open.
The receiver was open due to one of the most blatant push offs I have ever seen. Hicks had good coverage and the receiver, #7, pushed off with his right arm, fully extending his arm and creating more that 1 yard of separation in doing so.
Completely visible from the stands, yet the ref somehow misses it. I watched the play on the tv telecast and the camera shot did not pick up Hicks and the receiver until after the push off.
The crew today was just terrible. Between that push off and the missed horse collar, the last time I have seen 2 such blatantly missed calls was at ND in 2013.
