I was lucky enough to be a part of two great GameDays last weekend.
We were finishing up our Ireland vacation in Dublin, Saturday and Sunday. Greatest vacation ever.
Saturday, the town was bombarded with a playoff game for their Gaelic Football. An absolute blast of a game to watch. Sold out their large stadium holding over 82,000. Pubs were full of fans having fun. My wife watched the game and that rarely happens.
Sunday, the town was revisited with fans for two more teams. The same stadium filled to capacity for their super-bowl in the sport of Hurling. Another great game to watch. If you get a chance some time, check these games out.
What's weird, I didn't miss the fact I was missing our opening football weekend. Guinness and Red Breast were flowing like a river through my veins.
And now comes my opening college football game day.... Go Green! Cook the Ducks!
