Robaire is in town today, up from his home in Houston, Texas to see family and friends. He was hanging out with Mateen in East Lansing today, watching MSU's basketball practice. He also stopped in to see Dantonio, Bollman and those guys.
He plans to be back up for the Oregon game and also a cold-weather game. He wants his kids to sit through a cold-weather game.
He had a couple of young twins coming up. He has them playing basketball and baseball right now. Football will come later, he says.
He says his nephew, the son of older brother Fernando Smith, is a player in Orlando, a 10th-grade, "the best athlete out of all of us," according to Robaire. So that info is going to be trickling down at the Skandalaris Center.
Robaire played 11 seasons in the NFL, finishing up with the Browns in 2010. He's feeling good, all working parts in order. He said he has resumed working on his MSU degree, on-line. He needs 10 credits.
It was good to see Robaire. Izzo is always happy to see him. Even Suzy Merchant gave him a hug. Nice day on campus.
