Couch's article this morning in the Lansing State Journal points to MSU's secondary, injuries and offensive inconsistency as to why they are not the #2 team in the country. I can see where he is coming from, but then if you look at all of college football yesterday, there was a lot of head scratching going on. Below is my response to Couch's article. Thought I would share my wisdom here :)

"Lets see, MSU is 27-3 in the last 3 seasons, and 4-0 right now. Sure there are some concerns just like there was 2 years ago before the Offense found it's mojo. And last year when everyone was complaining how they couldn't finish in September.

The season is young and the Spartans earned the number 2 ranking by finishing in 2013 and 2014, and starting 4-0 this year. OSU didn't look like #1, TCU didn't look like #3 and Ole Miss didn't look like #4 yesterday. Maybe it's the pressure and/or maybe it is the opponents are takening it up a level. But treat MSU the same as the others - hold the others to the same standard.

MSU won by 3 touchdowns vs a hungry, scrappy, motivated opponent with a very hot QB. I'll take it and move on. They will get better, just like the last 2 years."
