When you consider the cost of the espn bus trip vs the pub I see huge costs with little payoff for espn But that is the way it is with um. um cant win on the field anymore so they become involved in some of the strangest situations off the field I have ever heard or seen.

um and coach hairball have now kicked off or lost around seven scholarship players from last season. Players with scholarships that could play this year but were run off by the new coaching staff. But now the staff is bitching about not having enough players to compete. Strange how they invented a reason for their own lousy record. They have signed some fifth year players . Players that graduated from their undergrad school but still have a year of eligibility if they can find a masters program at um that will admit the players, Im sure that isnt a problem. Haiball would probably just threatened the dean until the player is admitted.

However when you look at the um program since Rodriguez took over um has out recruited us every year, some years by wide margin. Yet every year on the field we continue to widen thepoint spread in our wins and their losses. Something doesn't add up.

If the recruiting sites have any integrity at all this trend should change. However up to now the trend has held true to form. Um is once again about ready to pass us in quality of recruits. yet their coach is tossing players left and right and now complaining about the quality of the talent . Iff the recruiting pollsters are correct we should be way behind um in wins and quality of talent. However the opposite continues to take place. When Rodriguez took over he brought in top ten recruiting classes. When he was fired Hoke came in with this over paid staff and began out requiting the prior um staff. Hoke then complained about the lack of talent along both lines. So Hoke proceeded to sign bigger and according to the various recruiting services more talented offensive and defensive linemen. However the real trend continued. We were out recruited but the thrashing we handed the blue continued to widen.
Now along comes Hairball and he has continued the the treend. He has eliminated 7 players and has started to complain about the lack of talent. Fans say wait till next year when we sign all the players to make up for thee lack of talent. However that will not happen. The most one school can sign in any one year is 25. So these players are so bad Mr Hair ball is willing to run off the players and wait years to replace them. But it provides a program left in the 70 and 80's an excuse so that mo their savior/coach can blame evveryone but himself when he fails to turn the program around.

Logic would dictate that MSU has a bad year and suffers through a mountain of injuries which allows um to beat MSU and maybe finish ahead in thee standing for thee first time in a long time. Who knows this could be thee year. I doubt it. Um will have a better recruiting year, hairball will continue to dump the prior saviors and MSU will continue to win more games with better talent: At least according to everyone but the recruiting experts. Meanwhile Hairball will run off more players and find another reason to explain um's lack of success on the field. Except for the obvious, MSU is a better program with a better coaching staff.
