Sorry I did not post sooner, I was traveling to Rivals.com Conf.

Mike Panasiuk was offered...I will have quotes up in a bit

Here is my take....:Last night I could tell he was not offered yet and I think he was a bit bummed as would be expected.

I think Mark Dantonio took his own advice and took a look at the situation. Dantonio always tells kids to sleep on things and make sure. I think that is what he did. He went home and slept on it and came to a conclusion.

Panasiuk is a hard-nosed kid who plays the type of football Michigan State has won a lot of games playing. Sure MSU could wait things out, but Dantonio is not one to pass a bird in hand for two in bush. He understands that at Michigan State you win with kids who will run through a brick wall and Panasiuk is that type. I think he sat down with staff this AM and said that is the type of kid we can and have won a lot of games with. Think of a better version of Kevin Pickelman or as I have stated a Reynolds/Beedle type.

The thing I like about Dantonio is he always remembers where he is at and what got him there. He knows that you win at Michigan State by playing great defense with great effort. He also knows that Michigan State has finished in the top FIVE 2 straight years with players who are as much about effort as they are talent...Look at the Kyle Elsworth, Ryenolds, Rush, Langford, Hicks, Bullough, the list goes on and on. Players who will do whatever it takes to help the team and are not afraid to work hard to do it.

IMO this was all Dantonio today. He practiced what he preaches and slept on it and realized that Panasiuk is the type of player that you can and have won championships with in is East Lansing.

Will Panasiuk end up a Spartan and potentially play on a DL that could be SCARY to Big ten opposition. Time will tell, but Dantonio was not going to question or second guess himself down the line. That is why he is one of best in the business and worth every penny MSU pays him.
