Help, Question on function in this forum

Yesterday it seemed as if I read a thread and then clicked "back to forum/thread" the link took me back to the main page of threads and dropped me at the most recently accessed thread.
Today that link takes me back to the top of the main forum page and I need to scroll down through the list of threads until I find the spot I was at ???

Is this an anomaly? Did I change a setting? Is it the same for you? I can image this would be even more annoying on my phone...
