Fun story to write .... Remember in September I wrote about Horace Smith, who Bear Bryant may have protested having to play against?

Turns out Horace's great-great nephew, Troy Tw Crozier, is a star at Gardena Serra, a California Division iA state champion.

And in the small world department, Serra's coach, Scott Altenberg, is the son of Kurt Altenberg, who caught three balls for 55 yards against the Spartans in the 1966 Rose Bowl.

Altenberg made comment the transfer portal is particularly impacting undersized players like Tw Crozier. Schools adding a 20- or 21-year-old player over an 18-year-old kid that needs time to mature physically.
