They stun Stanford, who just stunned #6 USC.
I don't really know how much is fool's gold(in a lot more than just NW) and how much is legit.
There are seasons where there are a few great teams, then the rest are good at best. Is this one of those years? I can see only a couple teams finishing undefeated, and seeing the rest with at least 2 losses this year. Seems every conference is beating up on itself and as much as some overthinking self righteous on here might want to berate themselves and their teams and their conferences in the idea of appearing more knowledgeable I think the B1G is holding itself fine.
Some of our preceived weak teams are beating up on some of the other power 5 conferences' teams powers, or at least good teams. And I don't care about the early losses by a few of our teams that are still building themselves up. Minn, Wisc will both be greatly improved by the end of the year(Kill seems to improve his team every year, and Wiscy was breaking in a new coaching staff with the kids).
After last season's bowl season, and how great we(B1G) did compared to the Big 12 and SEC at neutral sites, I have feel good about what's to come as the season unfolds.
See Northwestern as a power in the west and taking the place of what many thought NEB would be preseason. See NW, Minn and Iowa as the powers on that side. Also see a big fall as the season goes on by weasel U and PSU in the east side. The weasels lost to a team that won't finish well and beat up on two conference doormats...IF you call that beating up. When they hit the B1G season, I see both falling and falling hard with many holes in their games.
