I agree with what SpartanBand said about Josh Butler in a thread below.

Dantonio was asked about freshmen at CB tonight, and he said they would look at it this week. He would be the most likely.
With Cox likely to be entrenched at safety now, that leaves Hicks, Colquhoun and Edmondson at cornerback, no one else who has really played much. Edmondson has really struggled. I keep wondering about the RJ Shelton possibility, too. If he was good enough to give it a go last year, I'd have to think they would talk about it this year, especially now with Williamson out and Cox likely to have to stay at safety.
Dantonio said last week that they can only get one freshman ready per week, to really soak the guy. They did it with Grayson one week, then Willis the next. Might be Josh's turn now, if they didn't already start the process last week.
