I have changed as an MSU fan - anyone else?

We had a long tailgate, with a TV and satellite hooked up. Most of the MSU fans were lamenting the following things:

- "Big Ten's lousy record - nobody will respect our league"
- "UM is starting to roll against Oregon State - I was hoping they would lose"
- "Notre Dame and Auburn almost got beat - we could have used those wins"
- "Why did ESPN spend so much time on UM before Gameday started"

I was saying "So what!" to all of these things. And I mean it. For the first time in my life, all I care about is that we keep rolling. I don't care who else does well, and I don't care if we get enough credit for it every week from every outlet. What we are doing is slowly, methodically becoming one of the Top 5 football programs in the country. We have watched other schools start to do it (Auburn, Baylor, TCU, Stanford for a while). We are right there with those schools, perhaps just behind Alabama, FSU and OSU in our recent accomplishments. We are starting to be on every fans' minds as one of the top schools in the country. Each year we win 11 or more games cements our place there.

Those 4 things listed above might help or hurt us one year in getting a certain bowl game, or getting into the playoffs. I get that. But I'm not going to spend much time worrying about that. I just want us to keep winning, and we will have a humongous game in November in Columbus. And I am becoming completely confident that we will stay in this position for a long time, and we will break through one of these years and close the deal and win the NC.

I'm much more relaxed, and enjoying the season much more than ever. Anyone else?
