I know this was done in fun, but one thing really stuck out to me. There are very few players on Michigan's roster that could start for MSU. Harbaugh really has his work cut out for himself. There just is not that much talent to work with. Harbaugh will really have to prove he can develop. If you look at the top 5 players picked. I don't think any of them could start and would have to fight to see good playing time at MSU.
1. (S) Jabrill Peppers: Just wow the first player picked is a 5* guy that has done nothing yet. He has even been moved to a different position then originally recruited. He would have to fight to be our nickel back. He would have a outside shot at starting for MSU.
2. OL Mason Cole: Yes, once again someone that has done nothing at the college level yet. I think he is still trying to undo the roller-skates Shilique put on him. Not someone that would see the field this year at MSU.
3. RB De'Veon Smith: A average RB that would most likely be in the mix at MSU for playing time thanks to Williams suspension and Langford's graduation.
4. RB Derrick Green: Someone I could see pushing for starting time at MSU. Keep in mind running back is one of MSU's question marks this season.
5. DL Bryan Mone: Would be one of the 5th-8th man up DL that rotates in. Not a knock on Mone because MSU is deep this year at DL.
You could tell by the tone of the Wolverine.com staff members that this team is going to be bad, unless Jim can work some magic. I only see Michigan being favored in 3-4 of their 8 big ten games. Utah on the road looks like a likely loss. BYU, UNLV, and OSU all at home. Michigan will be favored in all 3, but I am not sold they are good enough to win all 3. I think 6-6 is Michigan's ceiling this season unless some players really step up.
