With the quality of depth at WR AND the fact that Shelton is a combo WR/RB, I wonder if we see MSU bust out some 5 WR sets with Shelton playing RB or going empty with 5 WR's. This would force the defense to adjust to what we are doing and maybe push them into their DIME units and maybe allow us to run against 5 man boxes allowing our big boys to go one on one.
You could start Shelton at RB and motion him to empty or start with him at WR and bring him in motion next to Cook and run it or play action off of it. Lot's of options with 5 WR's and it takes some pressure off the young RB's.
Shelton's versatility might make him the break out player of the year in the BIG10.
