To embrace some next level saber thinking, they'd take Shane Greene (who's about to return from the DL) and use him in tandem with Pelfrey. Both pitchers have prohibitively high TTOP's (times through order penalties), but have shown themselves serviceable in smaller "dosages". Run a rotation of: Verlander; Zimmerman; Fulmer; Boyd; and the aforementioned duo, to the AS Break.
