Go to your kids soccer games, read the board, and then watch the game Saturday night. I thought I was going to watch a horror show and to my delight we played pretty well with the exception of about 10-15 plays.

1st half – defense was actually fine with the exception of 7 plays, 5 of which were on 3rd downs so it kept us on the field. Nicholson poor coverage, too soft on a 3rd down by Colquhoun, missed coverage on crossing route by either Harris or Frey, a poorly executed blitz, a 27 yarder on Edmondson which was a nice play by CMU, bad holding by Edmondson, interference by Edmondson with arm wrap

Offensively I thought the play calling was pretty good. Offense was fine, only had the ball 3 times and had 17 points.

2nd half - defense was good with the exception of 4 plays – long run I think with Calhoun giving up the outside and then Nicholson taking a terrible angle, a pass on Edmondson with a missed tackle, a nice play design completed on Nicholson, 22 yards on a 3rd and 25 with Nicholson making the tackle with decent coverage but not sure if a backer should have been in the passing lane. We gave them too good of field position on our kickoffs

Our offense had 5 possessions, scored on the last two. Finley and Cook struggled on first possession, Price hold and an offensive pass interference stopped us on second, 3 and out failing to convert a 3rd and 4, then scored TDs on the last two.

Defensively we actually played very well on most plays, Nicholson and Edmondson struggled. Offensively I was pleasantly surprised with the play calling. When I saw 30 points I was thinking we were bad offensively, but we scored on 5 of 8 possessions with 4 TDs.
