Many are devaluing the Oregon win after our les than spectacular wins thus far and Oregon's beat down last night.
I compare our win to games against ND in 2009 and 2011. ND was not very strong in either of those seasons yet they carried the mystique, and were understood to be a tough game. Their season went south and that mystique meant less as the year went by. I think Oregon was still carrying the swagger of seasons past into our game against them. This can be very powerful. The difference this year, we stood up to the swagger with a victory, both ND games not so.
Dantonio has a system. Will it win our school a NC? Nobody knows. But it is a steady, patient system which has brought us much success and growth over the past 7 seasons.
