There weren't as many truly undersized guys that I associate with the MAC. There are exceptions like Grant DePalma, the linebacker that got up slowly after a vicious cut block on Holmes TD run. But it is pretty clear to me that Western is bringing in the caliber of talent that will help them compete for a MAC Championship. They are getting the guys the first pick of the second tier guys in Michigan that used to go to CMU. That is huge. Location-wise WMU is an attractive option for second tier guys from Illinois. They've also got pretty good inroads in Ft. Wayne. When Bill Cubit was at WMU, the program had an over reliance on Florida talent.
