We need improvement week to week just as the Rose Bowl team improved. That's leadership. That team (espically defense) was smothered with leaders. Max, Isaiah Lewis, Denicos, Bennie, Travis Jackson.
Do we have that on this team? I don't know. But I'm concerned.
What I do know is that in order for us to even be in consideration for that final 4 our special teams needs to go from a D- to an A. Dantonio's teams are built on good special teams and good defense.
Look at 2010. We were co-big ten champs because of special teams winning us 2-3 games. We will lose more than just Ohio State if this continues.
Geiger is past the point of no return. Give me Cronin, someone from the soccer team, hold an open tryout, anything.
Because of Cook, our d-line, and coaching staff anything is possible. Maybe this is the year you don't have to be flawless to win a national championship. But this team has a long ways to go.
