Maya Washington, daughter of Gene Washington, is putting on an event with a trailer from her upcoming documentary. The event is Sept. 10 at Conrad Hall. RSVP info on story with this link.
Maya's documentary, Bob Apsia's documentary "Men of Sparta" (also a work in progress) and my book Raye of Light all tell the great untold story of Michigan State's leading role in the integration of college football. The Spartans won back-to-back unbeaten Big Ten titles and national titles in 1965 and 1966.
Clinton Jones' will be name added to the Ring of Fame at Spartan Stadium for Saturday's game against Oregon. Jones is honored for joining George Webster, Bubba Smith and Gene Washington in the College Football Hall of Fame on Dec. 8 in New York.
FYI, I hope to have more info for you on Raye of Light book events homecoming weekend. Signed copies are available at the MSU Bookstore: 517-355-3450.
Thanks for the support from everyone who has bought a book and enjoyed my stories JimComp allows me to post here.
