Iv'e seen a lot of posts mention lack of athletes, or lack of speed and I don't think this team lacks either of those.
Harris is not slow, once a receiver is by him, they do nor separate, he simply lacks the recognition a half second too slow to allow them by in the 1st place.
The same could be said for any of the misshaps in the secondary last night.
Tackling in open space is a hallmark of a Coach D team, this is one area that will need to get cleaned up.
DBs did not turn back for the ball very often. Cox in particular was fortunate that his break up in the endzone was simply due to the contact arriving just after the ball. He did not turn routinely, most did not.
Recognition skillls are a crap shoot, this is why all 4.3-4.4 speed guys are not all "all world". They will improve in this area with experience. How much, nobody knows. Will it happen enough to show different next week, again nobody knows. I am confident that the speed and athletisism is there, the rest is up to coaching, experience and speedy neurons.
