I am sure there are many on here who agree with me. The content of the all topics board has degraded into a repetitious hate fest. Hate for liberals, hate for conservatives. It has become a bastion for racism, discrimination and insults. Hate for white america and hate for minorities.
It no longer serves any purpose for meaningful discussion as the participants sling insults and post increasingly inflammatory content. We have people calling the religious ignorant and other advocating Muslim concentration camps. All on a site for us to celebrate Spartan sports. A place where we are all supposed to come together, not divide us apart. It unavoidably spills into the other boards and discussions so saying "just don't go to the all topics board" is not the answer. This is not constructive and may in fact be very destructive.
I would hate to think that any recruit would open that board and see what is going on there. I would hate for them to think this is what the experience and fans at MSU are like. Intolerant and unaccepting. If such activity costs us just one major recruit, it's hurt us all.
Further it is has become of great concern to me that the moderators have stopped addressing this issue and have let the board run the way of the Wild West where anything goes and the loudest and rudest voices control the topics of conversation.
I've been on this board for nearly 10 years and live far from Michigan. This site is how I have kept up with recruiting and Spartan sports coverage. I don't post very often but felt it was time. Comp and Matt please consider my words as the all topics board has begun to really degrade your product. Is that board really what you want to have associated with all your hard work? Do we need to be the forum for this sort of drivel? What great purpose does letting this board continue serve? Please then consider ending the board all together and policing the basketball and football forums strongly for this sort of content. Thx.
