There has been much speculation on Hoggard's future. Tom Izzo was on the Tim Staudt show and said AJ Hoggard would be trying for a Pro Career while maintaining college eligibility. However, if he does play college ball, it will NOT be at MSU.
Izzo did not say this, but I have also learned that many high-major college teams are interested in Hoggard. Sometimes, a new environment and better coaching make a huge difference, like Tarris Reed leaving UM and going to Connecticut, which should improve his game, or Cam Spencer moving from Rutgers to Connecticut to win a National Championship and transforming into a much better player.
Izzo also said he has not begun his search for an Assistant Coach, but he has some names in mind.
